When I was young I asked my mentor, “Should I take a job if I feel I am more valuable than what I am being offered?”

He replied, “If you have no better offer at the time, you are not more valuable. If you can not find a job in which you are paid what you feel you are worth, then step out, take the risk and create your own business”.

“But what if it does not work or the risks appear to be too great?” I said.

“Then go work for what someone is willing to pay you and be happy you have a job.”
